Withdrawal from League of Nations and Geneva Disarmament Conference

Geneva, Switzerland – August 23, 2014 – Council Chamber in UN Geneva. It hosted some negotiations of war and accommodate the meetings of the Conference on Disarmament.
  • At the Geneva Disarmament Conference, Hitler proposed either for France to disarm to the level of armament allowed to Germany in the Treaty of Versailles or Germany to be allowed to rearm to the level of France
  • France naturally rejected, so Hitler withdrew from the conference & League. Once withdrawn, Hitler increased Germany’s military capabilities towards achieving his expansionist aims
