Third Law (Action and Reaction)
Definition:
For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
Four characteristics of third law:
- Forces always occur in pairs. Each pair is made up of an action and a reaction.
- Action and reaction are equal in magnitude.
- Action and reaction act in opposite directions.
- Action and reaction act on mutually opposite bodies.
