Acceleration due to Gravity

FortisLearn September 9, 2024

Acceleration due to gravity g is a constant. The value of g is generally taken to be 9.8 m s⁻². For simplicity in calculations, we approximate this value to 10 m s⁻² unless otherwise stated in the questions.

Free Fall: Object is in free fall if only force acting on it is gravity/weight.
